AMAZING! Falken Motorsports GT3 R: Nurburgring 24Hr – Night footage

Reckon you can drive? Reckon you can race? What about the Nurburgring 24-Hour? Maybe you've done a few laps of the Green Hell? Maybe you think you could handle the best endurance race in the world on the world's toughest track? Well, strap yourself in for a lap with the aptly-named Wolf Henzler in the Falken Motorsports 997 GT3 R, in the dead of night. Then see if you reckon you could do it! The view from the hot seat says it all... the guys who pilot these front-running cars, like the Falken Motorsports GT3 R, are truly the best racers on the planet. Check out the overtaking action, the shunt avoidance at the Karussell, and listen to the Porsche struggling to go slowly past safety cars. It's a mega video... one not to be missed. Thanks Falken Motorsport and Nick Bailey.
Recalling their 2011 race, Falken said: "Team chief Sven Schnabel’s crew had to spring into action as early as the first lap, checking tyres and rims in the pit for safety reasons following a minor collision with another vehicle. Wolf Henzler and Peter Dumbreck fought their way up from position 85 to reach 14th place. Shortly after Dumbreck handed over the wheel to Martin Ragginger at around 7:15 p.m, disaster struck: Distinct noises from the drive train accompanied the transmission’s complete failure. Breaking down in the ‘Schwalbenschwanz’ section of the track, the Porsche lost 30 valuable minutes before being towed to the pit. There, the mechanics team worked at an almost super-human pace, planting a new engine and transmission into the 911 in approximately two hours. Now truly running like clockwork, the Falken Porsche re-entered the race at 10 p.m. in 176th  and proceeded to persistently attack. Thanks to fairly constant lap times it clawed its way back to 48th!!" Quite a dramatic race for them. And anyone can see it's a top 15 car based on pace, without these sort of Green Hell dramas... amazing stuff. There's nothign on earth like the Green Hell at night in the 24-Hour eh?
