Porsche 918 Spyder ready to order: 645,000 Euros!

One year after its debut at the 2010 Geneva Auto Show, Porsche's Spyder "super sports car" is now available to order. But hurry... as only 918 models will be produced! Priced at an eye-watering 645,000 Euros, the innovative plug-in hybrid certainly ain't cheap, but it does feature a high revving 500bhp petrol V8 engine, along with two electric motors, delivering a further 218bhp, 0-60mph in just 3.2s, 199mph V-max and only 70 g/Km of CO2, while offering up to 94 mpg! Wow! All that grunt is fed to the rear wheels, via a seven-speed PDK dual clutch transmission, but the 918 Spyder is also all-wheel drive, thanks to their being an electric motor on each axle. How trick does this uber-exclusive, uber-rich beastie sound? The future of performance motoring, all-be-it barely affordable, is here...! Porsche will also be offering every customer ordering a 918 Spyder, the chance to order a special edition 911 Turbo S 'Edition 918 Spyder,' limited to 918 units, from a mere £125,865 and featuring no mechanical modifications over the standard 530bhp 911 Turbo S, but lots of bespoke Spyder touches. Why buy one special edition Spyder when you can have two eh?! And, is it just me, but are the wheels WAY too big on this 918?
